The California Marine Life Protection Act (MLPA) Initiative has completed a third round of revisions to the Regional Profile of the North Coast Study Region (California-Oregon Border to Alder Creek), which provides background information to be used during the MLPA Initiative's marine protected area planning process. This update to the regional profile includes a new appendix providing information about California north coast tribes and tribal communities as well as additional seafloor mapping data. The regional profile incorporates hundreds of comments and information provided by a broad array of organizations and individuals, helping create a resource that represents the best readily available information for marine protected area planning.
